Shining Evil Part 1

Shining Evil
I’m just a normal girl that lives in a normal town, with normal friends. I’m just a normal girl is what I told myself all summer long. Why? Because I’m not a normal girl.
It started roughly a year ago. I went downtown on a Thursday after school.  I passed by Candyrama on the way to the art shop. I was planning to get some gold paint for my next project, a golden bird flying over the ocean.
Jacqueline was planning to meet up with me at the art shop but I knew she really ment she couldn’t make it. The thought crossed my mind of inviting Maryella who lived down the street but Coleman would kill me if he found out. Coleman is my little brother and when Coleman was 2 and Maryella and I were five she accidentally stole his lollipop. So, I was on my own.
When I arrived at the store a sign on the front door read: CLOSED DUE TO ART PARADE ON MAIN ST.  I kicked the door a couple of times because I saved up my allowance for the bus ride here and for the paint. I remembered that Candyrama was having a sale on chocolate today and Valentine’s Day was coming up so I went and bought some gold chocolate coins.
I munched on the coins as I walked back home. “Gwendolyn!” Yelled my mom as I rushed into my window after I climbed up my old tree house.
Stuffing the chocolate into my back pocket as I picked a book and jumped in a chair I could smell something in my room.  Mom burst through the door. “Gwen!”
My mom surveyed the area, grabbed a strange container from my desk and ran briskly out of my room. She never saw me. I was inches in front of her face and she never saw me. I ran to the mirror. My reflection was there. Ew!
I brought my foot from the ground only to see a sticky liquid attaching my foot the ground. The liquid was golden but reminded me slightly of molasses. Then it started to grow. And grow until it entirely covered my body. That’s when I fainted.***

I will post more of the story tomorrow!

Stay posted,
Nina
