Hi this post is a review of a book I read before going to Venice called "Daughter of Venice." I know, it's a very cheesy title and the cover is a little funny but once you start reading it you'll love it! [If you are a feminist…] But you'll probably only like it if you are a girl. The book is about Donata, a girl in Venice. She has eleven siblings and is very rich. All her life she has lived in her palazzo obeying the families rules but when she finds out her older sister will be the one to marry everything changes. Her families rules do not allow Donata to walk out of her house unless her family is going to church or taking a Gondola to a party. She is also not allowed to have tutoring lessons [learn anything] she can only learn to play the violin or sing and sew. Only now does Donata realize how unfair her life is. And she decides to change that. Read to find out more!

I'm sorry I forgot to post this yesterday but please forgive me. Yesterday was a Christian holiday Christmas which I celebrate. Merry Christmas! Of course I spent this christmas in Venice. My family went to Midnight mass at the Frari. The whole time we were looking directly at this beautiful painting of the assumption by Titian. It is beautiful! Merry late Christmas!!!!!!!!!! I hope you LOVE your presents!
Hi! Today we went to Florence and saw the Uffizzi. In the Uffizzi I saw lots of awesome shoes and outfits worn by women. The women wear lots of fur. Minx, Fox, Hare, they wear everything! Earlier I was walking back to our hotel and I looked in the window of some fancy shop. The mannequin wore a white lace dress with a long red fur coat. Guess how much the coat was? 18,000 EUROS!!!! For a fur coat! Crazy. Women of all ages wear black. "Black is the new Black!" I saw like twenty people in the museum wearing black ankle boots. I thought they were adorable! With their rounded tops and black leather they are adorable! Go ankle boots!![]() |

Hi! This post is a review of a restaurant I just ate at in Venice. It is called Dalla Marisa and it is the best place to eat at EVER!!! My family's meal was amazing! The first course we had [there were three courses at this place! but you don't get a menu, you make a reservation and whatever they are serving you have] was handmade pasta with duck ragu and lasagna with porcini mushrooms, pumpkin, and parmagianno reggiano. I know what you're thinking. Duck Ragu? YUCK!!! But wait a second, I was just like that and I had never had duck before I had that wonderful dinner, but man was that delicious. I don't know how to describe the taste of the duck but you just have to trust me when I say it was amazing! I didn't love the lasagna but my parents did and gobbled the whole thing up! The next course was the meat course. Get ready because it is huge!!!! First we had more duck but just the straight up breast this time. Next salami and radicchio wrapped in pork. [that was a mouthful, literally!] And the third meat was venison; or as our waiter called it, "Bambi!" [I did not have the "Bambi," trying duck was enough for me that night!] The duck breast was absolutely amazing! I could've eaten the whole plate! The salami and radicchio wrapped in pork was okay but the pork was a little tough in my opinion. I have no idea about the venison but my mom and dad liked it. And finally the third course; dessert. They served us a delicious Mascarpone Cream with almondy crakers and cookies. I loved the dessert; who wouldn't? I give this place five stars. It was so fun! It's in the middle of nowwhere in Venice; it's a hole in the wall location, and there are no tourists! I hope if you ever go to Venice or even Italy you go to Dalla Marisa and love it.

Hi! I just finished this book and it was amazing! It is about a white girl in the 1950s who becomes friends with an African american girl. Marlee [the white girl] is very shy and she talks so little that some people think she is mute! This story is about the troubles Marlee faces with integration and racists. I loved this book so much! I think everyone would love to read it. Though girls may enjoy this book more than boys. Please read this book and comment on what you thought of it below!
Hey. This post is about a book I read called Girl,Stolen. Gil, Stolen is about a girl named Cheyenne who is blind. Her step-mom leaves her in the car while she goes into a pharmacy, Someone steals the car with her in it! What will Cheyenne do? The "kidnapper" is a thief but what is his back story? Does he really want to steal? Will the kidnapper's father kill Cheyenne? What will happen? This is a page turner and i think every girl would love it.
Hi! This post is about a book I recently read called "Crazy." I love this book! But, it is pretty intense so you might want to think about if you would like it or not. Here is the plot. Jason lives with his dad. His mom recently died after being in a coma for a while. His dad is mentally sick [A.K.A Crazy hens the title of the book] and Jason is having a hard time finding money to buy food and heat their house. [Jason is a teenager] One day Jason's English teacher asks him to join the school support group. The kids in the group open up to him but will he open up to them? The voices Jason hears start giving him advice, good and bad. Is Jason crazy? What will happen to him and his father? I hope you read this book, i loved it, you might too.

I will start with pencil cases. If you have the kind of case that is fabric and when you drop it, it doesn't crack open and explode open flinging your supplies everywhere than this is what you should do: Take your black sharpie and draw some sort of design along the edges of your case. If you need some ideas you could draw a green squiggly line around the side and then add ovals here and there with pointed edges.

Hello! This post and the ones that follow it are about the best houseplants! My #1 favorite house plant is probably the Aloe Vera plant. Aloe plants have a huge range of sizes. Mine, however is quite small. You're probably wondering why aloe plants are so amazing, I will tell you. If you don't know already; aloe vera is green slimy substance that heals/relieves pain from sun burns or any kind of burn. You can really you aloe for any visual things that hurts, stings, or itches on your skin. [I don't think it can hurt you at all either. Unless you eat it, then maybe...] This plant is very easy to care for because you only only have to water it maybe two or three times a week and it does the rest!!!I would recommend putting your aloe plant in the sunlight. It helps your plant produce more aloe therefor having thicker leaves. To find out how to get aloe from your aloe plant click the link: http://www.wikihow.com/Extract-Aloe-Vera
