Uglies

"Uglies" is a book By Scott Westerfeld. And it is amazing! I love this book. It is interesting, exciting, and witty. Uglies is a book about 15/16 [her age changes through the book] Tally Youngblood an Ugly in her community. In her town their are various different groups. A "Littlie" is a toddler then you become an ugly. You are defined as an Ugly when you are around 8. But on your sixteenth birthday you have  a procedure that turns you into a tall and skinny Pretty. After visiting a new Pretty friend Tally runs into Shay, a fellow Ugly about to turn "pretty." But after getting to know Shay, Tally finds out that not everyone turns Pretty when they turn sixteen. When Shay runs away Tally has to choose, turn Pretty or save her friend. You should read Uglies!!! I'm reading this book right now and it's AWESOME!!!!! It's also in a series with  Pretties, Specials, and Extras.
