The Life of Adeline Nelson

Hey!!! Happy New Year! Well I just have a story to share [shorter this time.]  It is called The Life Of Adeline Nelson. I hope you enjoy it!

P.S. If you haven't noticed, I have a tendency to post something once a day, so....like I say...stay posted!

The Life of Adeline Nelson
Bam! All of the lights went out. Quincy whimpered. Quinn screamed. Kimberly cried, and I sang. Now, you may think this is a weird reaction to a sudden power outage or flickering of lights. But to me it was not so sudden. I knew someone was going to turn the lights off on Sunday night, October 13 at 12:01 pm. How I knew that I cannot tell you, but I can tell you one thing, and that is, not to scream when you’re scared.
This is a phrase that my great-grandfather tells me every time he is separated from me. My great-grandfather is a blacksmith in Time Town. Time Town is a small run-down city located just above where the prime meridian and the equator meet. You might be wondering why this town is called Time Town and why Time Town is above where the prime meridian and the equator meet. Well, if you are I better explain…
First of all Time Town is no ordinary place. In fact, you might even call it magical. Time Town is where time is kept track of and kept safe. Actually, Time Town is where time is made. And because time is made in Time Town [my birth place] I have been able to keep track of time since I was born. Just like all of my fellow Time Townies. And the reason I knew the lights would flicker off on Sunday, October 13th, and 12:01 pm is because I can not just tell time I can also predict it. In other words, I can tell the future.

Okay. I just realized that The G.C.L.A.P. Detective Agency  looks very long on my blog. I have just decided that from now on I will post stories in bits. [Like three paragraphs at a time.] If you have an opinion on this decision please write a comment.
On a totally different note...I have a really fun arts & crafts project to share. [And another thing...]

I LOVE Pom Pom Puppies!!! Pom Pom Puppies are the cutest thing in the world. I have some tips for you.  Multicolored puppies aren't that easy to make. Now, I didn't say they're hard; but as I said; they aren't easy. I would recommend starting out with the one-colored puppies first.
There is also a really fun thing you can do with the Pom Pom Puppies kit. You can make a pom pom fox. Here are the directions.

So...Do you see the hand pointing?
Do you see where its pointing?
I'll try to describe..It's right there>>>>>>
and there>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
[Or that's where it's supposed to be pointing!] So...What you have to do to make a fox is wrap the red yarn all around the pom pom maker. But do not wrap red yarn around the area of which I was pointing to.  Now, wrap white yarn around the places that are not covered in red yarn. Then, like the book instructs, stick the two sides together and cut around the edges. [P.S. you just made the head...] For the body just use the same reddish yarn you used before and make another pom pom.
For the ears I suggest using the red and white felt. Cut two small triangles out of the white. And two bigger triangles out of the red! Of course add the eyes, nose and muzzle. And hopefully it will turn out like this!

   And...Tada!!!!!

THE  BEST BOOKS OF THE DAY
[For 9-12 year old's]

Number Three: The Warriors Series  written by Erin Hunter
I adore this series!!! But to really enjoy it you have to read ALL of the books. [P.S. there are a lot of books like 40 something not including the manga ones.]

Number Two: Spy School & Spy Camp written by Stuart Gibbs
These books are action packed and very entertaining. You won't be able to put them down.

Number One: The Girl Who Could Fly  written by Victoria Forester
The Girl Who Could Fly is one of the most inspiring books I have ever read. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the beginning! [I also love the name "Piper"] But, you have to read it to the end. Near the last part of The Girl Who Could Fly many interesting twists and turns happen. You have to read this book!
