Buddha's Hand
Hey guys sorry I'm not posting this on a Wednesday but its better than nothing right?!
Buddha's Hand
Buddha's Hand is a citrus plant that is often used for scenting rooms. Some think Buddha's Hand comes from Asia. The citrus plant is used for cooking. The yellow exterior is used for zest and if you cut of the fingers the inner white stuff can be sliced and used for cooking also.

Great Beaches in California

Stinson
1. Stinson Beach
Stinson Beach is an amazing beach for boogie boarding. The waves crash a little ways away from the shore. [Just enough room to ride the wave] There are also lots of good restaurants near by this beach. I recommend renting a wetsuit or using you own if you go to Stinson. It gets very cold. Stinson beach is a half hour north of San Francisco.
2. Table Rock/ 1,000 Steps Beach
Table Rock Beach is a beautiful beach that is rarely crowded. It is more commonly known as 1,000 steps beach. There are 360 steps. The waves at this beach are pretty huge. I would not recommend boogie boarding.
3. Crystal Cove Beach
Crystal Cove Beach is a state park beach therefor, you cannot take anything home from this beach including shells. There are great tide pools at Crystal Cove. There are also restaurants and shops built around the beach. Table Rock and Crystal Cove are in Laguna.

Guardians of the Galaxy

Hello!!! This post as you see is about the amazing movie Guardians of the Galaxy. I loved this movie. I was actually very hesitant to watch this movie because the trailer made the movie look terrible. But when I looked up reviews for "Into the Storm" on Rotten Tomatoes only twenty percent of the critics liked it. So, just for fun I looked at most highly ranked movie on Rotten Tomatoes. And that movie was Guardians of the Galaxy! Ninety-two percent of the critics liked it! Click the Link and see it yourself
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/guardians_of_the_galaxy/
There are certain parts of this movie that I really enjoyed. For instance, the entire soundtrack of the movie except of a couple songs is from the 1970s. During action scenes when things are blowing up and people are shooting guns; instead of an action song a happy songs from the seventies is! There are also some very witty jokes in Guardians of the Galaxy. All of the characters in this movie are lovable. But, you have to get to know them first. The last scene is hilarious! Stay after to the credits to watch it. You should really watch this movie. I loved it!!!! You probably will too!

Wednesday Wildlife

Emperor Tamarin
Emperor Tamarins are a species of monkeys. As you can see from this picture >>>>> This type of monkey has what appears to be a white mustache. In my opinion these monkey are unbelievably cute. These creatures live in parts of the Amazon Rainforest. Emperor Tamarins are named  emperor because of their resemblance of Wilhelm the second, a German emperor. I don't think they look that much alike. This animal weighs 18 oz. Emperor Tamarins eat flowers and fruits.

Commonly Found Berries

In this post I will show pictures of four berries. I will describe where they can be found and how to find them. The first berry......Blackberries. I have found blackberries in California more than anywhere else. When you find a blackberry bush in California it usually means you found three bushes. Blackberry bushes in my experience come in "packs," or you find one huge bush. Blackberry bushes are usually found in wooded areas or near them. When you pick a blackberry you should be careful because their stems are very prickly. The second berry...the mulberry. Mulberries are all over Iowa. You could just walking downtown and see a row of giant mulberry trees. Mulberry trees could be anywhere. Mulberries look very similar to blackberries but they taste completely different. The third berry... Gooseberries! Gooseberries are a delicious fruit that along with blackberries, has spiky stems. I have seen gooseberries in parts of the midwest. They
can be found in wooded areas. And now the fourth berry... the Raspberry! I have seen wild raspberry bushes a couple of times in the midwest. They're pretty thorny also.

Cronuts

You are probably wondering right now what a cronut is. Let me explain, Cronuts are a mix of a croissant and a donut. The cronuts fried exterior and toppings resemble a donut along with the vaguely doughy insides. The croissant is displayed in a cronut by the flakey pastry inside the desert. Also in some cronuts there are fillings such as cream, almond, and chocolate. I hope that you get the chance to try a delicious Cronut soon.

Glaucus Atlanticus is a type of ocean slug. This animal lives in tropical waters. The Glaucus Atlanticus has a very interesting appetite. This animal eats hydrozoans. Hydrozoans are a creature that are very closely related to jellyfish. The type of hydrozoan this ocean slugs likes to eats is a Portuguese Man-O'-War. This hydrozoans sting can a hurt a lot is not fond of by us humans. The Glaucus Atlanticus eats this animal and stores its poison so it can use it as a defense against predators.

The Coolest Halloween Costume!

Hello! This post is about the coolest halloween costume EVER! Have you ever been in the situation where its one week away from halloween and you have no idea what your costume is? Well this past Halloween I was in the situation myself. I thought and thought put I couldn't come up with anything!!! But then it came to me. I needed a lightbulb, a great idea! And that's when I realized I was going to make a lightbulb costume to wear for halloween. I just needed to make a costume. I thought of what I already had.

-yellow tissue paper
-shiny silver duct-tape
-packaging tape

Then I thought of what I needed to get.

-something for if it rained
-something if it is chilly
-pants!!!!
-battery powered lights
-chicken wire

I went to Target and Ace Hardware. I got yellow plastic clear wrapping paper to put over the tissue paper if it rained. I bought a white fleece for if it gets chilly. [If you have a white fleece you should use that] For pants/bottoms I got shiny silver leggings to go with my duct tape. The battery powered lights are to light up the lightbulb. The chicken wire is the actual base of the whole thing.
First you should cut and sculpt the chicken wire into a lightbulb shape. Also, remember to cut holes for your arms. The cut edges might be sharp so I recommend bending them or covering them with tape. Now attach the yellow tissue paper all over the chicken wire so you can only see yellow. Now cover the paper with the clear yellow wrapping paper in case it rains.
Cover the bottom of the lightbulb shape with your shiny silver duct tape. Using your packaging tape attach the lights to the inside of the costume. Make sure the on and off switch is near your hands when you try one the costume. Now put your fleece on, then your leggings and slip your lightbulb over your head. And no you have made the coolest halloween costume EVER!
